In the lives of young people, families have the greatest influence (by far!) on their formation and growth—physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. What an honor to play such a significant role in the life of a young person, and also what a huge responsibility that is for families! Fortunately, families are not the only influence in the lives of their children. At Grace Chapel, we want for your sons and daughters what you want for them – to grow in wisdom, in stature, in favor with God and other people. That’s why we are driven by one passion – connecting church leaders & families to fuel faith in the next generation.

Our women’s ministry seeks to connect women of all ages by providing a weekly Bible study in our community. This environment includes a large group lesson led by a team member or guest speaker followed by smaller group discussions about the lesson. We explore topics such as prayer, the Holy Spirit, discipleship, grace, and more all while encouraging closer relationships with each other through group prayers and outside activities.

Our men’s ministry is devoted to helping men in our community follow Christ by allowing Him to shape them into the leaders, husbands, and fathers they were made to be no matter the cost. We encourage every man to serve their families, one another, and our communities with courage, humility, and unity. We do this by providing a small group environment for men called a “Band of Brothers,” retreats focused on spiritual renewal, and a mentorship program that helps men grow into the likeness of Jesus.

Solid marriages are foundational to the health and strength of our churches and our communities. Grace Chapel’s Marriage Ministry provides married couples with opportunities to build strong, Christian marriages and relationships. The ministry is designed for all ages and all stages of married life, offering challenges for healthy marriages and resources to help the hurting.

Since 2006, members of Grace Chapel have led mission-minded teams of people to India.  God continues to bless these efforts and we are excited about the next steps God is collectively encouraging our membership at Grace Chapel to take. Grace Chapel’s work in Mexico began in the early 2000s in Cozumel with the City of Angels Children’s Home (Ciudad de Angeles). Since then our efforts have expanded to support works throughout the entire Yucatan peninsula through the work of Kairos ministries, led by Victorino Calderon.

 

 

Beginning in 2001, Grace Chapel’s jail ministry has reached thousands of inmates through teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Many have responded and been baptized into Christ.

 

During the worship period, led by two to three Grace Chapel volunteer ministers, activities include personal testimonies, hymn singing, praying and short lessons from the Bible presented by each of the ministers present. Bibles, devotionals, cards of encouragement, and Bible correspondence courses are made available to the prisoners in attendance along with encouragement and personal mentoring.

Homelessness is an issue in Forsyth County and is not just for drug addicts and alcoholics. Cumming Home Ministries (CHM) was birthed in 2010 because of one such man in a tent. Since its inception, CHM has provided a Christ-centered home to over 150 homeless men needing and wanting to make positive, long-term changes in their lives. Since 2010, CHM has been the ONLY free-admission transitional housing ministry in Forsyth County assisting homeless men. Over a period of nine months CHM helps men stabilize, grow spiritually, and learn to trust the Lord and Savior, in a safe, loving and caring Christian environment. Learn more . . .​

 

Forsyth County Family Haven was incorporated in 1989 for the purpose of providing safe temporary shelter, individual crisis support and referral services for victims of violence. The Mission of Family Haven is to provide comprehensive services to individuals and their children who have experienced family violence, to educate and train the community on the issue of family violence/sexual assault, to increase self-sufficiency and to reduce recidivism. Our services are free of charge to all victims of domestic violence regardless of age, sex, race, and creed, marital and socioeconomic status. Learn more . . .

 

Family Promise of Forsyth County, Inc. serves families who are experiencing homelessness. In cooperation with community churches and volunteers, they provide a safe place to stay and meals, along with programs and supports to help the families gain or regain sustainable independence. Each family works on personalized, weekly goals to provide them the knowledge and skills needed to be successful. Each family is also provided a mentor who will continue to work with the family beyond graduation to be a support and a link to additional services they may need. Learn more . . .

 

Georgia Agape, Inc. is a faith-based, nationally accredited, not-for-profit, social services organization which has been providing services since 1970. Agape is licensed as a “Child Placing Agency” by the Georgia Department of Human Resources and is accredited by COA (Counsel on Accreditation). They are supported by the Churches of Christ in Georgia, caring individuals, foundations and corporations.  Their mission is to provide professional social services as a compassionate Christian outreach to children, families, and individuals in order to enhance their prospects for a better and brighter future. Learn more . . .

 

Next Generation Focus Incorporated (NGF) is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization focused on education and youth development. Their mission is to equip next generation leaders by providing educational, relational, and financial resources, in part by providing low-cost, grade-appropriate, and individualized tutoring and enrichment in reading, mathematics, and STEAM according to school district standards. Their vision is to foster a community where children and youth are able to reach their full potential and become contributing members of society. The Place of Forsyth County is a nonprofit social service organization that has passionately served residents of Forsyth County since 1975. The Place assists resident families with emergency basic needs in difficult times, including financial emergency assistance, clothing, food and many additional support services. In addition, The Place also operates a thrift store on-site that provides affordable merchandise to the public.
